FEAR INTO FAITH

I was afraid of tides and waves
Fear of rushing surge did I have
Until someone came along
And taught me to walk on the water

I was afraid of diseases
A fear of germs and worms
Until someone came along
He showed me how to hug a leper

I was afraid look into tomorrow
Every next day and what it would hold
Until the One who holds it all
Promised me He planned it all good

I feared death and all that is beyond
The unknown yonder shook me hard
Until someone died for me
And said He'd be waiting for me

I was afraid to believe
Miracles were distant fantasies
Until I read of a withering man
Who was blessed with generations

I was afraid to trust in any
Betrayal and rejections scarred me
Until someone with His precious life
Stole my heart again

I was afraid of love
All the pain that it held
Until someone who loved me so much
Fixed my broken heart anew

" Oh He chose me
Took away my fears
He erased all the scars
Filled me in with Faith"

BEAUTIFULLY PIERCED

The hand that was there always
Both in my happy dreams and nightmares.
The hand that picked me up
From the deepest of pits deep.
The hand that gave the happy push
Whenever I was in a anxiety rush.
The hand that I held to
When it worked miracles and wonders too.

Oh the beautiful hand in my dreams
You are no longer complete in worldly eyes.
For the once smooth skin
Now bears signs of torment akin.
But to eyes of my heart
It has never been this fully elegant.
The suffering and brokenness of yours
Makes it much better than any others.

For you bear the nail pore
That promises home ashore.
The scar of shame
Worn by the one who deserved fame.
Sacrifice written all over
Innocent through all year.
Bearing the sin of the world
Hanging on so withered.

Pain of betrayal
Curse of humanity
Sacrifice of a father
Obedience of a son
Fulfillment of the word.

A hand beyond human
Divine in its touch
Caring on my tears
Soothing on my wounds
Healing on my sickness.

Caressing in my loneliness
Hugging in my pain
Touches of love
Touch of life
Instilling hope for tomorrow

I see the hand again
The scars and all up close
Scars I bore on it
Each time I ran away
Scars of dejection
When I fled afar

The hand that once mould me
Longing to hold me more.
Even the shattered pieces
All in big warm hugs.
Potters hand mending me whole
Blacksmith who cleanses more.
Took a weeping me
Made me a better me.

The hypocrite hands of world
Brutally hitting me hard.
Not that it matters anymore
As I see wide open hands ashore.
Each moment of heart beating
I find myself waiting.
Longing to know and feel
The touch of life for real.
